Zone Clock ("the Extension") is a browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge that provides UTC time display, world timezone browsing, and a time converter tool.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles — or rather, does not handle — user information. The answer is simple: we collect nothing.
Zone Clock does not collect, access, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
Zone Clock saves the following preferences locally on your device using the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local API:
This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to any server and is not accessible to us or any third party under any circumstances.
Zone Clock requests the following browser permissions, each used solely for core functionality:
No other permissions are requested. The Extension cannot read your browsing history, access your open tabs, or communicate with any external server.
Zone Clock does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no Google Analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or external APIs. All timezone data is built directly into the Extension.
Note: The Extension loads Google Fonts (Plus Jakarta Sans, JetBrains Mono) for typography on the first load. This contacts Google's font CDN. If offline, the Extension falls back to system fonts automatically.
Zone Clock requires no account creation, sign-in, or personal information of any kind. The Extension is fully functional without any identity or authentication.
Zone Clock does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. Since the Extension collects no data at all, it is safe for users of all ages.
If this Privacy Policy is ever updated, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. We will never introduce data collection without clearly communicating it and updating this policy first.
